Plique-à-Jour Enamel “Juliet” Pendant Necklace

$19,500

This lovely French Art Nouveau plique-à-jour pendant necklace depicts a gold version of Shakespeare's Juliet at the moment when Romeo, lingering in the Montagues' garden, spots her on her balcony. Juliet is highlighted by peridots and pendant freshwater pearls. Plique-à-jour enamel window panes glow behind her, while the dawn light is represented by the sparkling diamonds framing her head. Paired perfectly with a period gold chain, this romantic pendant recalls one of our absolute favorite literary heroines.
