French Retro 18K Gold Tank Bracelet

$17,500
This French Retro tank bracelet in 18K gold was made by Ernest Le Sénéchal and retailed by Janlys, Paris, in the 1940’s. It is composed of pyramidal links flanked by arches and joined by double hemi-cylinders. Responding to the wartime aesthetic of strength and resistance, this bracelet nonetheless has an alluring look and feel, combining soft gold with bold curves, playfully defying the illusion of great weight with its graceful, streamlined geometric forms.
